Braxton Hicks or Labor?
As many of you know I am expecting very very soon and as I was feeling pain, I asked myself, how do we know if that tight feeling that hurts in our abdomen is braxton hicks or true labor? There are sins that can actually help us know and decide. With braxton, the pain comes and goes and they are not closer together where as real labor come at regular intervals and last about 30-70 seconds. As time goes on, they get closer together. With Braxtons, changing position may help ease the pain and even go away, with real labor, no matter what you do, the pain consists. Braxtons pains is felt in the abdomen whereas real labor is starts in the lower back and moves to the front. Either way you should contact your health provider if you feel that the pain is consistent. Braxton hicks or not if you are worried, go with your gut and get yourself checked out.
