A healthy way to Eat Out
So you are getting that craving to eat some take out but almost anything on that menu seems so unhealthy, here is what you can do. Ask for more vegetables portions for your order. Most places now how low fat or fat free menu so go that route. Feel free to specify how you want your order, less salt, or whatever.
Pregnant? Things you should as your doctor
I am sure that there are things that you as mom new or old, would want to ask your doctor and it is always safe to make a list of what you want to ask because chances are once you get there, you wont remember what to ask. Make sure you know what you should be eating, many things tend to change during each pregnancy so make sure you talk to a nutritionist and your doctor.
Getting the kids to eat healthy..Yikes
Here is a project that I had fun with, trying to get my kids to eat healthy, you are either laughing at me thinking this can not be done or you just don't care because you think no way your child would even attempt to try a veggie. My kids are still young, the twins are almost 6 and my youngest which is almost 4 and they all hate healthy stuff. We sat down and I said, we are going to try to have something healthy and in return, you can have whatever you want for dinner one night a week, deal? This went on for a couple of months and now they do not even crave the junk anymore, well not as much and the healthy foods, is just food. I still have to occasionally make it look desirable, and of course flavorful but each week we try something.
Errands, Tasks and Chores OH MY!
If you are like me, everyday there is something to do, some errand to run and never seem to get it all done when I want them to be. SO I ask myself, why am I not getting these things done? Food shopping i snot that bad because I always have my grocery list...but everything else sort of get half done, or not done. But one thing that has worked for me is writing it down. Its simple and fool proof. Write down all the things that you want to get done even though you know but it still helps. Write them down in order of what you want to do first to last. It works, its less stress and you get so much more done but remember to be realistic in what you can actually do in one day, give yourself some time and dont over do it!
